PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Webinar series (a one 1-day 8 hours including the evaluation) is in partnership with the Chapter House Publishing, Inc. It will be held on August 11, 2022 (Thursday) via the Zoom platform and FB Live Streaming. It aims to identify and address challenges experienced by the libraries and librarians in a time of crisis, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in developing inclusive and diverse library collection and the steps they took to adjust their collection development practices. In this webinar, the presenters will share the collective trends on collection management, the tools/product and services for a robust digital transformation of print resources to resources, and explain the changing landscape of cataloging and organization of library resources in a post pandemic environment.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the module, the students would be able to:<br/>a. To gain knowledge on the different challenges and opportunities in collection development practices in the new normal.<br/>b. To learn how to rebrand the value of print materials in the new normal.<br/>c. To impart knowledge on how library practitioners reframed the organization of their library resources in an inclusive and diverse new normal environment.
