PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
- This Online Basic Course for Pollution Control Officers is a 10-day training program designed for newly designated PCO. This training program is recognized by DENR – EMB that implements the DENR Administrative Order No. 2014-02: Revised Guidelines for PCO Accreditation. - This continuing training program will benefit the professionals under the field of B.S. Chemical Engineering as a minimum requirement for PCO as per DENR Administrative Order No. 2014-02: Revised Guidelines for PCO Accreditation.
OBJECTIVES
1. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the requirements of the Revised Guidelines for PCO Accreditation.<br/>2. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the basic principle on environmental management and cleaner production (EMCP)<br/>3. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the rules and procedures of PAB during an environmental case<br/>4. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the effects of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) in relation to Climate Change<br/>5. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the foundation of the environmental laws in the country<br/>6. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements of Republic Act No. 6969: Toxic Substances and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes Control Act of 1990<br/>7. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements of Republic Act No. 9003: Ecological Waste Management Act of 2000<br/>8. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the appropriate test methods and ambient and source emission sampling methodologies<br/>9. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the different water and wastewater parameters<br/>10. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the data collection, Sampling and Sample Analysis of Water and Wastewater<br/>11. The participant should be able to gain knowledge on the data collection, Sampling and Sample Analysis of Soil<br/>12. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements of Republic Act No. 9275: Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004<br/>13. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements in completing the different sections and modules of the SMR<br/>14. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements in completing the different sections and modules of the CMR<br/>15. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements in completing the different sections and modules of the Incident Reporting and Investigation<br/>16. The participant should be able to gain knowledge and understand the requirements of Republic Act No. 8749: Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999
