PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series (MGDLS) is one of the longest-running lecture series offered to professional librarians and LIS students in the
Philippines. It includes five (5) lectures with different topics on librarianships given on a separate schedule. This 5th MGDLS lecture is aligned with the educational philosophy of John Dewey – learning through doing
This year the theme of the MGDLS is: “2022 MARINA G. DAYRIT LECTURE SERIES: KEEPING UP WITH THE STANDARDS: A LIBRARIAN’S GUIDE TO THE KEY ASSESSMENT AREAS OF THE 2022 PAARL LIBRARY STANDARDS”. The PAARL’s Board of Directors would like to offer an online/onsite series. Each series has its independent topics that would provide an excellent opportunity to retool and prepare librarians, information professionals, and LIS students to equip themselves with the knowledge in adapting to the new PAARL Library Standards.
The 5th MGDLS is all about WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT FOR LIBRARIES, in which the participants will learn the basics of website development and how them create and manage dynamic web content.
