PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Leadership is required to build a strong foundation for a team (Gonzalez & Rolman, 2010, as cited by Moore, Everly & Bauer, 2016). Moreover, with the growing complexity of healthcare practice environments and pending nurse leader retirements, the development of future nurse leaders is increasingly important (Dyess, Sherman, Pratt, & Chiang-Hanisko, 2016). Therefore, this training is focused on training future nurse leaders to prepare us in facing with the difficulties we face today.
OBJECTIVES
General Objective<br/>This 3-day program is created to prepare future nurse leaders in the performance of such role.<br/><br/>Specific Objectives<br/>At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:<br/>1. Develop leadership skills necessary to effectively adapt in the complexity of the working environment;<br/>2. Apply communication concepts for a safe and harmonious workplace environment;<br/>3. Integrate concepts and policies in performance of the leadership role;<br/>4. Identify charge nurse role in facilitating procedures and processes in specific areas; and<br/>5. Demonstrate analytical skills in decision-making.<br/>
