PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) Inc. Free Webinar Series, First Cluster, will be held via Microsoft Live on April 27, 2024 and May 4, 2024. The focus of the first cluster of the series is on “The Teacher as a Person.” This first series focuses on various topics to enhance understanding on the multifaceted roles and responsibilities of teachers and as individuals who have unique qualities, expertise and commitment to the teaching profession. Moreover, it presents sharing and discussions on how teachers’ well-being is supported and protected which is not only beneficial for themselves but also for students, schools, and society as a whole. The first cluster with 7 sessions covers the following topics: 1. Teaching as a Profession, Mission, and Vocation 2. Guideposts to Happiness and Wholeness: A Conversation with New Teachers 3. Lifelong Learning: Embracing Growth and Excellence 4. Effective Communications for Beginning Teachers 5. Stress, Conflict, Anger, and Time Management 6. Managing One’s Anxiety in the Teaching Profession 7. Personal Finance and Entreleadership for Teachers
OBJECTIVES
The first cluster of the PAFTE Free Webinar Series on “The Teacher as a Person” has the following intended learning outcomes: <br/><br/>April 27, 2024<br/>At the end of the four sessions, you are expected to be able to: <br/>1. describe at least one (1) of the reasons why the teaching profession is considered as a mission and a vocation;<br/>2. state at least one (1) guidepost to happiness and wholeness a teacher needs to practice; <br/>3. discuss at least one (1) lifelong learning engagement that a teacher may do for professional growth; and<br/>4. explain at least one (1) effective way to develop communication skills as a classroom teacher. <br/><br/>May 4, 2024<br/>At the end of the four sessions, you are expected to be able to:<br/>1. Explain at least one (1) effective way to manage stress, conflict, anger, and time;<br/>2. Describe at least one (1) strategy to manage one’s anxiety in the teaching profession;<br/>3. Discuss at least one (1) tip to manage finances properly;<br/>4. Cite at least one (1) example on how to nourish your heart as a teacher. <br/>
