PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The e-Learning Course on Local Nutrition Program Management (eNPM) is designed to teach local nutrition and nutrition-related workers, members of local nutrition committees, and other stakeholders on how to effectively plan, implement, monitor, evaluate, and sustain nutrition programs, in the context of the overall local governance and development system. The course consists of eight modules that cover various lessons to enhance the students’ knowledge and skills in local nutrition program management and strengthen their core values as a stakeholder for nutrition improvement.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the participants are expected of the following: <br/><br/>1. To describe key concepts and principles of basic food and nutrition;<br/>2. To inculcate values and skills important for effective performance of nutrition and nutrition-related workers;<br/>3. To discuss the roles and functions of nutrition program management in the local governance and development system;<br/>4. To explain the importance of a local nutrition action plan in LGUs and discuss the steps in preparing the plan;<br/>5. To enumerate the steps in implementing a local nutrition action plan;<br/>6. To describe the steps in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the local nutrition action plan and explain its importance; and<br/>7. To explain the steps in and the importance of using the results of the monitoring and evaluation for re-planning and sustainability.
