PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This Training Program empowers educational leaders through advanced instructional supervision, enhancing their expertise in curriculum implementation, teaching methodologies, and student assessment techniques. Designed for supervisors and school heads, it includes interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and emphasizes data-driven decision-making for continuous school improvement. Renowned experts will share insights on leadership practices, with peer collaboration and simulation sessions facilitating best practice exchanges. Participants will learn to conduct impactful classroom observations and provide constructive feedback using workplace Application Projects and the latest educational technologies. The program aims to cultivate a network of reengineering champions dedicated to elevating educational standards in Capiz.
OBJECTIVES
Terminal Objective<br/><br/>By the end of the four-day face-to-face training, school heads will be able to develop a Division Implementation Plan and a Workplace Application Project Proposal. These plans will be based on validated feedback from learners, parents, and other stakeholders, ensuring the provision of appropriate, timely, and relevant technical assistance related to curriculum, instructional practice, and performance. Participants will also apply instructional supervisory competencies through simulations to support their teachers' professional development and welfare, guided by the Instructional Supervision Framework of Region VI.<br/><br/>Enabling Objectives:<br/>By the end of this Program, participants will be able to: <br/>1. Assess and reflect on their personal beliefs, preferences, and competencies as instructional leader;<br/>2. Define instructional supervision as a process on the context of Region VI and enumerate existing laws and policies which provide legal bases for instructional supervision;<br/>3. Discuss the standards, purpose, norms, guiding principles and implementing guides of instructional supervision;<br/>4. Acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes on the key content, scope and processes of instructional supervision (IS);<br/>5. Enumerate the different professional development modalities and describe the processes of reflection and giving of feedback as powerful tools to improve teaching and enhance learners’ achievement;<br/>6. Select and apply instructional supervisory competencies, through simulation, and demonstrate the most appropriate and effective feedback strategies that can enhance teachers’ performance while observing the<br/> standards and norms of IS;<br/>7. Discuss the delineation of roles and responsibilities of instructional leaders in the different governance levels;<br/>8. Develop a plan Division Implementation Plan for Division Rollout of “Reengineering Champion Through Instructional Supervision” utilizing the shared training resource package of the Regional Training of Trainers; and<br/>9. Craft a Workplace Application Project Proposal relevant to Focusing on Teaching and Learning - Domain 3 of the PPSSH using validated feedback obtained from learners, parents, and other stakeholders to provide <br/>appropriate, timely and relevant technical assistance on instruction that relates to curriculum, practice, and performance.
